It was a 300-6. the 84 3spd. od was the same length as the aod and the same slip yoak sot the drive line were the same. My 69 E200 did not have a slip yoak so I had to change the drive line. I don't know when Ford changed to the slip yoak but both the 3 spd.od or the aod will require a new drive lin...

I had that transmission in a 84 E150. Took it out and put in an AOD. It was a daily driver and I was tired of shifting.

Need a mid 80 AOD. Some have had problems with them bolting to the cross member in previous posts. The cross member needs to go in the 6 cylinder position. The transmission to cross member can go two ways also. Need a slip yoak drive line. Older vans don't have this. Shift lever needs to point down....

The 4100 cleand up and looks good. Had to robe parts from my other one. The chok on these are very complicated and I think that was part of there down fall.

I'm with Marlin on the grill. Why would you change it? Does your van have reflectors on the back? It shouldn't be hard to change. My 69/70 grill came out of a 72. It's on its 3rd van.
